Alright, I'm gonna start my timeline theory from OoT cause that's what I think was the beginning.

Ok, so the events of OoT happen, Ganondorf's sealed inside the Sacred Realm/Dark World. Link is sent back into time by Zelda, which creates 2 timelines. The one is the place where he left, ruined by Ganondorf's rule. The other was his childhood. I think he told Princess Zelda about the dangers of the future, and Ganondorf was going to be executed. It's seen in Twilight Princess he didn't die because of the Triforce and was banished to the Twilight Realm. Then they have peace...and leads to Twilight Princess. Oh ya then Link leaves to continue his adventure in Majora's Mask.

In the other timeline, the one he left, Ganondorf somehow came back and began destroying and burning again. <_< Then the people pray to the gods for help. They flood the kingdom, which leads to Wind Waker.

In the timeline where he was sent back, centuries come on and Twilight Princess comes in. For those of you who have played TP, you know what happens.

As for WW, the story goes on and continues in PH.

What do you think?

Well done for putting those five games together in the correct order. Now there are just nine more games to go: http://en.wikipedia...._of_Zelda_games

Thanks.

I'm guessing all those come before OoT but I'll have to play em first.

Most of them come after OoT, because OoT was the first game with Ganondorf.

So they're probably between OoT and MM or TP.

Well, OoT was said to take place in the Hylian age (because the Hylians were the race of people who lived there), and ALttP said that the Hylian race died out long before. The majority belief is that the games are separated into different plot arcs. There's the OoT-verse, which you've described in your timeline, and there's an ALttP-verse, which takes place long after.

So that must mean ALttP is between MM and TP, cause in TP there were very few Hylians.

Actually, the implication is that the majority of people in TP were Hylians. The long ears are their trademark.

Really? I was pretty sure they were humans, not Hylians. Only a few had pointy ears.

Actually, only the people from Ordon didn't have pointy ears. IIRC, everyone in Kakariko and Hyrule Castle Town had pointy ears.

I think any game with the Master Sword has to happen between Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past. In OoT the Master Sword lets you travel through time, but looses that ability at the end of the game when Link seals the Sacred Realm. At the end of A Link to the Past the Master Sword gets put away "forever".

Castle Town, yes, but none of the three in Kakariko do.

Ordon isn't even part of Hyrule, technically.

The amount of Hylians in a game is quite a weak argument anyway, as it's perfectly possible for Hylians to migrate to or from Hyrule between games. We know from the ALttP manual that Hylians spread all over the world.
