The first part says that every single Zelda game features the original overworld theme... I don't remember OoT using it... it didn't, did it? o.O;

I haven't watched the other parts yet, but the first one was so nostalgic it almost brought a tear to my eye. XDD

Ah, yes, the Gametrailers retrospective. :wub:

Awesome, nostalgic, and a nonsense timeline, what's not to love?

I believe it's sampled in the Hyrule Field theme.

You can hear the first 8 notes of the overworld theme in OOT's Hyrule Field music, I believe. It's just a hint of it, kind of like how you can hear Kokiri Forest in Outset Island or Kakariko Village in Windfall Island.

Also the title theme's melody from OOT is Zelda 1's recorder (and yes, the Warp Whistle from SMB3).

That retrospective is quite nice, though I think they should have left out trying to tie all the games together into a timeline.

I'll have to revisit the game and listen for that - I have to admit that OoT didn't really hold a candle to the older Zelda games, in my opinion, so it's not the one that I've played the most. Not that it was a bad game or anything, it's just not my preference.

The accompaniment for that ocarina melody is from the credits music from LttP.

And moreover, ALttP's Title Theme is used in OoT's Legend of Hyrule (Creation Story) to denote the appearence of the Triforce.

Their timeline is pretty terrible, but otherwise a bit of nostalgia is always nice...

Yeah, I didn't think their timeline was all that good. Didn't it say that LA came before ALTTP or something when it was supposed to be a sequel? I know it started the "King Gustaf is the Hero of Men" rumour. Anyway, I like retrospectives and other similar things so I liked watching it for the most part.

The retrospective was great, but their timeline is erroneous.

I always thought that was awesome.

Probably because I thought the brief ALttP title screen was awesome.
