OK, here's the situation. I met Pietro, and am trying to get to the Tower of Mana to get the healing whatsis. Apparently, the priest went over the mountains or whatever, and the only way I can get through is by paying 100 million Gald to some idiot or hop a nonexistent boat in Izoold. My friend told me that I'm not supposed to even be striving for the Tower of Mana yet...but I can't seem to be able to go anywhere else. WHAT DO I DO?!

Oooh, you took the hard path, I see - by initiating the Boltzman's Book Quest, you've made it so the boat in Izoold disappears and are now on the alternative, harder path.

Anyway, try going to Luin and Asgard first, though you will have to go for the Tower of Mana soon.

First, I need to get the key, which is my main problem. Also, what level should I be before even thinking about the Tower?

No, you don't. Luin and Asgard are on that side of the mountain, you'll be fine - you normally pay for the pass, but in this mode you get it for defeating a boss.

As far as levels go, I did it at 35...but I was going through the normal path, plus I maniacally leveled up to get there. Just try it out and keep training if you find it too hard.

The thing is ToS is filled with different story paths... depending on what choices you make, places you visit, and people you talk to, you might end up taking a certain route that others didn't. I really don't know how to help you. ><

You wouldn't know where the boss is, would you?

Nope, I never played this path. I assume it's one of the Desians though.

Doesn't the Synopsis normally tell you where to go next? The yellow entry?

Actually, you clear the Tower of Mana, Mausoleum and Asgard Ranch, then go all the way back to Izoold where Max has has returned.
